Ideally, you should contact Hammock Homes at least one month before your move-in date. However, we at Hammock Homes understand that life is not always so predictable and pride ourselves in accommodating clients at much shorter notice. We have a wide selection of apartments and can usually accommodate unforeseen or last minute relocations.

We encourage you to specify your criteria during the first contact with your Hammock Homes agent (e.g. pets, handicapped access, and proximity to subway).

If your credit rating does not meet the landlord’s requirements then a co-signatory (guarantor) of the right financial/residential status will greatly enhance your chances of securing the apartment.

How should I approach the apartment search if I live outside of the area?

We have secured apartments for clients throughout the United States and overseas. Hammock Homes staff is innovative and have been known to process documents electronically, use overnight mailing for payments up to lease signing in order to accommodate your circumstances.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payments in the form of money orders, bankers draft and credit cards.

What is a standard deposit for entering into a new apartment?

The standard deposit for an apartment is one month rent. This will serve to secure the apartment. It indicates commitment on the part of the client and acceptance on the part of the landlord. The deposit will take the apartment off the market and thereby allocate a time for you to sign the lease.
